Geor said he had a time, only a brief
\nthree minutes, when he did not have bills
\non his mind. It was in the sixties he said.
\nHe had just met his current wife. That
\nwas fifty years ago, it was an August day
\nbefore it rained on his birthday.<\/p>\n

Laur was saying something about
\nhaving a child. She told Geor she felt
\nshe was ready. She also told him it would
\ntake a lot of sex to do it. She had not
\nbeen on birth control the five months they
\nhad been together. Geor smiled.<\/p>\n

He remembers it as the best smile he
\nhad ever had. Today, Laur was saying
\nsomething in the kitchen. Geor went
\nout there to listen to her. She was dusting.
\n\u201cI think I am ready to travel to Hawaii.
\nI think Bethi\u2019s kid is old enough for us<\/p>\n

to leave. Mike\u2019s boy has been okay for
\ntwo years. I can always pray for them.\u201d
\nLaur told Geor she liked feeling warm
\nunder a constantly warm sun. She said
\nshe liked taking long hot showers using
\nother\u2019s water. She kissed Geor\u2019s tears.<\/p>\n
