\nenergy but in the binding back
\nThe solid geometry itself
\nRecognizing us close at hand
\nLike the cold of a weapon
\nIn the heart of the seeker
\nAbiding there
\nTho on the face of it
\nNothing showing here
\nNothing
\nsurviving the faint ideal of
\nThis grand impermanence
\nThe forces behind the words of life
\ntalking in veins
\nseparated from their meaning
\nseeds floating upon and throughout us
\nIn this space breathing, a labor of love, like the soldier leaf forever tethered to the wind
\nit takes her a lifetime to collect the paints of a colorless sun
\nTo begin again
\nBlind from inside
\nThe midnight of existence
\nThe weakest one
\nbeneath the deepest womb
\n of this untold black world..,
\n there strives another, feeding
\n on the faint light
\n of the birth its own soul<\/p>\n

\nthe Adena Culture
\nor the Ancient Fort Culture
\nor both
\nor neither
\nbuilt an earthwork serpent
\n1,348 feet long 3 feet high 17 feet wide
\nlaying rock for foundation
\ncovering rock with yellow clay
\nclay with soil
\nand soil in sod
\nfrom coiled tail undulation
\nthrough sinuous body
\nto the 3rd cosmic eye of the art deco head
\nwhere the great serpent Uktena
\nswallows the setting solstice sun.<\/p>\n
