Sea Mark Bells<\/strong><\/p>\n The shimmering city ~ John Swain<\/p>\n THIS IS OUR WORLD,<\/strong><\/p>\n look, This is my ear, a shell This is my right hand Here is my arm resting on this desk (Shifts in chair)<\/p>\n Yes, I see you.<\/p>\n Here is my name writ in mud Here our lives. My name is inscribed in your hair My name is your lifetime Here is my self There stands you ~ Geraldine Green<\/p>\n
\nfaded to phantom
\ndistant in gold
\nfrom the mist
\nrising off the sea roll
\nwhile sea mark bells
\nguided ships
\ninward from vastness
\nthen again to all blue,
\nwe entered the gates
\nthrough cold wind.
\nIn my swimming
\nthe bay grasses
\ntouched soft as dark hair
\nbetween your legs
\nin both the openness
\nthat we spanned
\nmoving like bridges
\nhidden in morning
\nabove the canyons
\nof watery wildflowers.
\nI curved my arm
\naround you
\nlike the shoreline retreats
\nand curlews flee.<\/p>\n
\nit\u2019s beautiful.<\/p>\n
\na curve, a wave.<\/p>\n
\ntyping this message
\nto you, the world.<\/p>\n
\nmy body, leaning towards the screen.
\nHere, let me look at you.<\/p>\n
\nthere is yours, alongside
\nin the sand.<\/p>\n
\nHere is my sigh.
\nThere is your name.
\nHere is my neck.
\nThere is your hair.<\/p>\n
\nYour eyes read my poem.<\/p>\n
\nMy shoulder our golden mean.<\/p>\n
\nscribbling these words.<\/p>\n
\n– in the rain.<\/p>\n
