IT WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was not the first time I collected myself to
\nslither off a leaf and splatter on another,
\nslather wetness on the ground<\/p>\n

I remembered this
\nas I dreamt it in a flower,
\nmy sluggish fuzzy exoskeleton
\nclasped in the clench
\nof an overnighting bloom<\/p>\n

Sunrise illumined the petals,
\nopening them, tumbling warmth
\ninto me, who awoke,
\nlegs a moving jumble of
\nsudden awareness,
\ntossing myself
\nlike a monk
\nrising from bed,
\nbumbling into activity<\/p>\n

Back and back and back I remember
\nor have the idea of what it was like and now<\/p>\n

I’m human
\nimagining the future
\nin a sea of ideas
\nabout it<\/p>\n

Conjuring it up<\/p>\n
